Not exactly. Society teaches GIRLS AND WOMEN to indulge their sexual desires. Most of “polite” society teaches boys and men to restrain their sexual desires.

Perhaps Apex Fallacy would have been better than hypergamy. A woman ignores all unattractive men then wishes the attractive men, the only ones she notices, would pay attention to her. That’s why a woman’s dating advice is to “just be nice to the girl”… it’s how she wants all the VISIBLE men to treat her.

Basically women’s usual complaint about men is that those that are sexually attractive are generally not willing to commit. Therefore if the average woman is asked to give mating advice to men, she pictures a sexually attractive man from whom she’d seek signals of willingness to commit. That pretty much explains it, I think.
